Program overview

The women’s baseball program at Doncaster Baseball Club began when Greenhills-Montmorency women’s teams moved to Deep Creek Reserve for their debut season in 2000-01.

Celebrating it’s 25th season back in 24/25, with the women’s program at Doncaster has become one of the most renowned in the country.

The Dragons have produced

  • + Dozen premierships across all divisions
  • 4 Division 1 flags
  • 13 Australian players – more than any other club in Australia
  • Approaching 50 Victorian representatives across Women & Youth Victorian teams
  • 2 inaugural members of the Victorian Hall of Fame (2025)
  • Baseball Australia Hall of Fame Member Samatha Hamilton (2025)

Additionally, the program has developed and trained dozens of players who have gone on to represent Australia at the World Cup and Victoria at National Championships.


Season information

The program is led by Samantha Hamilton and welcomes players from ages 13 up across all capabilities and interests. 

Playing on Saturday afternoons from October to March, Doncaster’s two senior teams compete in the Victorian Summer Baseball League.

Training information

Senior Women’s Trainings are on Monday and Wednesday nights, from 6.30-8.30pm, at Deep Creek Reserve.
