Charles Chasemore Trophy – Best Club Person

The Best Club Person award is named for Charles Chasemore, who was instrumental in the formation of the club and served as its first president from 1974-76.

Lew Lewington Trophy – Men’s Club Champion

The Lew Lewington Trophy is presented to the MVP of the Men’s Firsts team each summer season.

Samantha Hamilton Trophy – Women’s Club Champion

Renamed in 2010, the Samantha Hamilton Trophy is awarded to the MVP of the Women’s Firsts.

Betty Potter Trophy – Best Junior Club Person

Named for a tireless worker who devoted much of her time to the junior program, the Betty Potter Trophy is awarded to a junior player who shows exemplary sportsmanship, dedication, attitude, and willingness to help others.

Max Sheriff Trophy – Young Sportsperson

Named for a passionate former club president, this award is presented to a non-junior from the lower senior grades who displays the attributes of a quality young sportsperson.

Sonia Cook Trophy – Donny Pride

Voted by players from the senior women’s teams, this award goes to a woman deemed to have contributed significantly to the overall betterment of the club – both on and off the field.

Glenn Lacey Trophy – Men’s Home Run Award

Named for a prolific power hitter who once belted four consecutive home runs in a Men’s Firsts game against Fitzroy, the Glenn Lacey Trophy is awarded to the player who hits the most home runs in the top men’s team each summer.

‘Stumpy’ Russell Trophy – Best Men’s Finals Player

Named for a founding life member, the Gordon ‘Stumpy’ Russell Trophy is awarded to the best player from the highest-graded men’s team to play finals – as selected by that team’s coach.

Sandy Cliff Trophy – Best Women’s Finals Player

Named in recognition of an integral part of the club, and in particular the women’s program, this trophy is awarded to the best player from the highest-graded women’s team to play finals.

Lacey Family Trophy – Best Junior Finals Player

The commitment to the junior program of founding life members Jack and Edna Lacey is honoured by this award, presented to the best player in a junior finals series.
