Women’s Regional League North – Premiers

Huge shoutout to our Donny Chicks for their fantastic season, landing the Lair a Premiership medal, a Runners Up flag, and third place, in a season which saw all three teams making the finals.

Big congratulations to Doncaster’s Zoe Deane, who earned a Premiership medal with the Preston-Doncaster-Coburg side. The combo team topped the ladder and, in a tight grand final, broke a 3-3 tie with a six-run third inning to defeat Diamond Creek Blue 11-9. Zoe was pivotal, ending a Diamond Creek rally with an incredible catch and going 1-for-3 with a run and RBI.

Women’s Premier League – Runners-Up

The Doncaster Women’s First IX finished third on the Premier League ladder and secured their spot in the big dance after a stunning run in the finals. They came back from 0-2 in the fifth to win 8-2 in the semi-final, then rallied from 0-2 in the 7th to win 5-2 in the preliminary final in 8 innings. The Newport Rams bats were too strong on Grand Final day as they claimed the flag.

Women’s Premier League Reserves – Third

Congratulations to the Donny Chicks Second IX, finishing third overall this season. Last season’s runners-up ended third on the ladder, with their season wrapping up in the first final.
