The Thirds and Fourths claimed home victories over Knox while the Firsts and Seconds endured rain-affected games at Waverley on Saturday.
With first pitch delayed 15 minutes at Napier Park, the Firsts started brightly as Brendan McDonald led off the game with a home run down the left-field line. Two outs later, Liam Robertson was hit by a pitch and Rolando Curiel lined a double but both were left stranded.
Waverley hit back in the bottom half, scoring twice before a three-run blast off the bat of right-fielder Daniel Page gave the Wildcats an early 5-1 advantage. Doncaster would score once more – Robertson driving in Marcel D’Avoine in the third – before the game blew out late.
The Reserves jumped out to an early lead before the game was suspended and ultimately called off due to rain, with John Britton fanning a pair in his one scoreless inning of work.
The Thirds bounced back from their first loss of the season to record a 10-4 victory over the Falcons.
Earlier, the Fourths allowed four runs in the top of the first before scoring seven times in the bottom half, en route to a 13-7 win.
