Big wins by the Seconds and Thirds highlighted Doncaster’s senior games this weekend.

A-Res starting pitcher John Britton kept Watsonia off the board while the offence posted nine runs en route to their second consecutive shutout victory.

It was a different story in the Firsts as the Dragons failed to get much going with the bats, recording just six scattered singles against Watsonia’s formidable Formisano brothers in a 6-1 loss. Doncaster will look to improve their 3-3 record when they take on Melbourne Uni next week – but will have to do so without infielder Brian Chen, who fractured his ankle trying to beat out a ground ball late in the game.

Against Monash Uni at Gladeswood Reserve, the Doncaster Thirds ran out 18-3 winners while the Fourths went down 18-1.
